Financial records, collective log books and meeting minutes, correspondence, flyers, store operations files, histories and reminiscences, and newspaper clippings of the longest running food cooperative in the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area. Also included are records of several several affiliated worker and service cooperatives that the North Country co-cop engendered: North Country Hardware Store, North Country General Store, North Country Bookstore, North Country Co-op Library, and the North Country Development Fund. There is also material pertaining to the co-op wars and the dissolution of the People's Warehouse (Minneapolis, Minn.). Detailed information on the cooperative's activities is found in the collective's minute books and log books, and the financial records: journals, ledgers, cash books, and order book. The log books are of particular interest in that they document daily activities at the co-op and the workers' reaction to events. Other records include daily, weekly, and monthly financial statement and disbursement journal sheets. The collection also includes correspondence and related papers of the All Co-op Assembly (ACA), the Distributing Alliance of the Northcountry Cooperatives (DANCe), and the Twin Cities Cooperatives Association.
